Cape Bouvard and its proprietors have a history of working in synergy with the natural surrounds to enhance the local environment within its projects. Communities have been the beneficiaries of Cape Bouvard’s attention to environmental issues (see Philanthropy under Our Story).

Well before climate scientists were convinced of the need to reduce CO₂ emissions, the Founder of Cape Bouvard pioneered a unique Combustion Process from the mid-seventies which reduced fuel consumption and harmful gas emissions via a $100m investment over two decades.

It was described internationally during the eighties as the leading engine technology in the world. Today, the derivatives of this technology have beneficially contributed in many production engines to varying degrees by various manufacturers and to date over 2.2 million tonnes of CO₂ have been abated via this technology.
